Carson: "If elected, I will ask American people what to do about Amnesty"

Agree with him or not, Ben Carson is a straight shooter on most issues... except when it comes to amnesty. He has said in the past that he supports guest worker status for illegal aliens. Now on Hannity when asked about amnesty for illegals, he said that if he's elected, he will be "very interested" in finding out what the American people want to do on the subject.

Huh?

Carson has it backwards. We are looking to support a candidate who will support our views. We're not looking for a candidate who says, "If elected, I will later figure out what the American people want". Because once he's elected, he can say the American people "want" anything.

And for Carson to say that he doesn't know what the American people want is disingenuous. We want these illegals out.

This kind of reminds me of the last debate when asked about an increase in the minimum wage, Carson said we had to sit down with proponents and opponents of an increase and figure things out. This tells me that like the minimum wage, Carson doesn't have an opinion on amnesty, and that is not a desirable trait for a presidential candidate. Couple that with his reluctance to talk about deportation of illegals, and I would say that, aside from his support for ending birthright citizenship, that he is not as strong as Donald Trump or Ted Cruz on this issue.

Frankly I wonder how different he is even is from Marco Rubio. Rubio, having disavowed his own "Gang of 8" amnesty bill, now says we cannot consider citizenship for illegals until 10 or 12 years have passed, presumably after his own presidency ends. That doesn't sound very different from Carson.

What do you think? Could you vote for a candidate, who, asked about a major issue, answers "I think it is something we should leave to the American people"?

What other taboo topics would you like Trump & Carson to bring out of the shadows?

One of Donald Trump's greatest contributions to this campaign is that now we can talk about illegal immigration once again without being accused of being racists. The first time he did it, everyone held their breath to see if he would be destroyed in the polls, or if he would apologize or Scott Walkerize. He wasn't and he didn't. Then suddenly it became ok for everyone to talk about the problem of illegal aliens.

Walker pulls out, revealing his flaccid conservatism

No one has been tougher on Scott Walker than I have. I have long known the great white hope of Wisconsin was a fraud, and I have worked to expose him time and time again. He's a corporatist--he does things big business likes, like reducing the power of labor unions, but when it comes to matters the Chamber of Commerce likes, and the general public doesn't, like illegal alien labor, he bounces back and forth like a ping pong ball. And it showed.

Why Americans are uncomfortable voting for a Muslim for President

Ben Carson has said that it would not be appropriate for a Muslim to be President. I instinctively disagreed with classifying any group of people as unsuited to be President, and I resolved to come up with my own list of qualified candidates. Here's who I came up with:
