By worshipping "science guy", liberals dumb down science and language

If you needed brain surgery, would you go to a "brain surgery guy?" If you needed someone to fly a plane, would you hire a "plane flying guy"? Of course you wouldn't. And yet too many people think Bill Nye, who is called a "science guy" is an expert on global warming.

From the number of people who cite him, I imagined he would have a Ph.D. in climatology, or astronomy, or a related field. But much to my tremendous surprise, Bill Nye doesn't have a Ph.D. in anything.

Bill Nye doesn't even have a masters degree in anything.

Bill Nye has a bachelor's degree in... mechanical engineering. That's right, he has no formal education in climate, weather, astronomy, or anything distantly related to these subjects. And yet he is cited in an expert on so many subjects, including so-called global warming:

“When James Hansen testified before Congress in 1988, I said ‘Wow, that’s really something,’” Nye says. “My first kids’ book in 1993, I had a demonstration on climate change.” Several episodes of “Bill Nye the Science Guy” also covered the subject.

“It’s not something that’s really debated in the scientific community,” Nye says. “The connection between humans and climate change is about as strong, or a little stronger, than the connection between cigarettes and cancer.”

Wrong. There has been no global warming in 18 years, according to satellite data. Talk to a "temperature guy", Mr. Nye.

Not, of course, that Nye is actually a scientist.

So why should we listen to a word he says? This is why he is called a "science guy"--because he has no doctorate! It's the kind of term a five year old would use to describe a scientist, but adult liberals use the term proudly. They don't know or care about his expertise as long as he tows the liberal line.

Exit question: which is more disturbing, that liberals are citing an uncredentialed man as an expert on "global warming", or that they are using baby words to describe the credentials of said "expert"?

Why George W. Bush hates Ted Cruz

George W. Bush was our security president. He kept us safe! (Except for victims of the Boston marathon bomber. And victims of illegal alien crimes. And arguably victims of 9/11.) So it pains me when my security president goes out on a limb and talks about his hatred of Ted Cruz.

Liberals should thank Trump for making "big money" irrelevant in politics

Liberals have a plan. They want politics to be funded only by small contributions. And only the conveniently non-quantifiable labor contribution of big unions. And just one more thing, also the non-stop, 24/7 positive press for Democrats and negative press for Republicans from the liberal media. But nothing else. They cry and moan when conservative businessmen fund Republican candidates. It's not fair!

Why won't middle class people shop at Wal-Mart?

Wal-mart's stock took a steep drop as the company announced that it was expecting lower profits. There are a number of problems Wal-mart has, such as its website and fulfillment not being quite as good as Amazon.com, but Wal-mart is primarily a brick and mortar store, not an internet company.

Jeb Bush agrees that 9/11 happened due to Bush/Clinton immigration policies

Donald Trump took a lot of heat for implying that George W. Bush was responsible for failing to prevent 9/11. (He didn't say it outright, saying merely that it happened on Bush's watch, but I think it was clearly implied.) He said that our porous immigration system was partially responsible for the attacks.

Trump blames Bush for 9/11... and he's right

As someone who was almost crushed like a bug by debris from the second plane on 9/11, I feel no reticience in putting blame for the attack where it should properly sit. I have no patience for people who say it was an inside job done by the CIA, but I equally have no patience for those who say George W. Bush was blameless. And so, apparently, does Donald Trump:
