WashComPost wants your diet controlled by the Govt

Opinion writers in the WashComPost have said that we need a "national food policy" to control

o the production of our food

o the wages paid to our food workers

o the way food is marketed to people

o the "carbon footprint" of our food production to fight imaginary global warming

and more.

The irony is that the government already regulates all of these things to varying degree. But the writers want more government control; they want the government to determine what food is grown and what choices you have to eat. They used to do this in the Soviet Union too, and it can be said they achieved 100% participation there. (washcompost)

If people aren't smart enough to choose their own foods, what else aren't they smart enough to do, that the government should decide for them?

a) who to vote for

b) to decide where to live

c) to decide what occupation to have

d) to decide who to marry

e) all of the above

NY Times comes out against free speech in a racist way

The NYSlimes just came out with another editorial criticizing groups and corporations donating to campaigns it doesn't approve of (Conservatives and/or Republicans). The Slimes calls this "dark" donations because not all donor names are disclosed. (NySlimes)

2600 people apply for 18 low income housing units in San Francisco

In a very typical article, SFGate is reporting that 2600 people are applying for 18 new low income housing units that have been put on the market. What is the liberal answer to this problem? Have the government spend billions to create low income housing! But by making housing cheap, the government will never run out of applicants. At a low price, supply will never meet demand no matter how many billions of dollars you spend on it. What do you think will work?

Britain gets socked by progressive EU Income Tax!

Britain has been hit with a huge 1.7 billion pound retroactive tax by the European Union. Why? Because it's economy grew more than expected! That's right, the EU has a progressive income tax based on the country level! If one country earns a higher GNP than another, it gets socked with a higher tax! It's just like our progressive tax system. Isn't that great? I know England really appreciates it about now.

Islamic States selling girls as slaves, Democrats in a silent uproar

Islamic State fighters are taking little girls and selling them as sex slaves. Their price ranges from $100-$300, with higher prices for girls with blue or green eyes who have good teeth. Women's rights groups in the US, who have been outraged at the Republicans' "war on women", have been... completely silent about the plight of women in the middle east. Why the contrast?

Australia Repeals Global Warming Tax--World Melts Down

Australia, now under the control of a government that puts science first (funny how liberals also say that, when they use junk science to justify whatever they want to), they have repealed an expensive carbon tax that raised energy bills for all Australians and hurt the economy. As a result, Australia is producing more greenhouse gases then ever. What do you think the results will be? (libtards at Vox)

Leftist foundations paying for fat govt union pensions

This is just GREAT! In order to get Detroit out of bankruptcy, the city of Detroit has suckered leftist foundations like the Ford Foundation to give hundreds of millions of dollars for gold-plated union pensions! The Ford Foundation and others like it are supposed to spend their money on building things, but instead they've become a direct pipeline to put cash into the unions pockets. And the taxpayer doesn't have to pay a cent!

US court decides that citizens actually have the right to decide what marriage is!

The 6th Circuit of the Federal Court of Appeals has decided that states, and the citizens who govern them, actually have the right to define what marriage is, and not unelected federal judges. Most other courts, however, have found for gay marriage. Why do you think this is so?

Prime Minister of Hungary taking repressive Obama-like actions

Viktor Orban, the PM of Hungary, is accused by the NYTimes of being a repressive ruler. Coincidentally, he is also conservative, and you don't see the NYTimes writing such articles about Cuba and Venezuela. How exactly is Orban repressive? Well....

Democrats lost in Maryland after promoting "rain tax"

You may wonder how the Republican, Hogan, won the race for governorship in the People's Proletarian State of Maryland. Well, there are a number of reasons, but one may be that people were dissatisfied with the rain tax. Everyone who had solid surfaces on their property, like driveways and parking lots, got taxed for it.
