Pro-Amnesty Billionaire calls Rubio the "best explainer of conservatism"

Billionaire Paul Singer, one of the biggest donors in Republican party circles, has decided to back Marco Rubio for president.

Mr. Singer described Mr. Rubio as “the best explainer of conservatism in public life today, and one of the best communicators the modern Republican Party has seen. Marco Rubio can appeal to both the head and the heart.”

Wow! Marco Rubio is the best explainer of conservatism! Singer makes him sound like the Ted Cruz of the US Senate!

And what do we know about the endorser, Mr. Singer?

Republican mega-bundler Paul Singer has quietly gotten involved in the fight for immigration reform, making a six-figure donation to a group involved in marshaling conservatives to support an overhaul of federal laws, POLITICO has learned.
Singer has been involved for the past few months, officials said, beginning with the Forum’s Bibles, Badges and Business network, one of its programs to corral support for immigration reform from different corners of the GOP.

The group has worked with Sen. Marco Rubio (R-Fla.), a linchpin of the Gang of Eight working on a bipartisan immigration reform package.

He pushed for Marco Rubio's Gang of 8 amnesty bill. He's a big pro-amnesty guy.

And so is Marco Rubio. While Rubio has temporarily disavowed his own bill, he still supports Obama's illegal amnesty for children of illegal aliens, giving money to fund more illegals, and bringing in more "refugees" from the Middle East.

For a big corporatist who needs cheap labor, what's not to like?

But Rubio hasn't been talking much about immigration lately, not even on his website. And to be fair Singer didn't mention immigration in his endorsement. Here's what he said:

He praised Mr. Rubio’s message of optimism about America’s future, his work on the Senate Foreign Relations Committee and his ability to make a persuasive case to voters as key reasons to support him.

“He is accustomed to thinking about American foreign policy as a responsible policy maker,” Mr. Singer wrote. “He is ready to be an informed and assertive decision-maker.”

Marco Rubio has been a policy maker? I am unaware of a single policy he has made. I have never heard about his "work" on the Foreign Relations Committee, back when he used to show up for work on a regular basis.

This is all a smokescreen. Singer wants a corporatist, pro-amnesty candidate, Jeb is obviously faltering, and Marco looks like a fresh face for a policy that will destroy our language, culture, and borders.

Someone has convinced Rubio that talking about amnesty is not going to help him

You probably know that Marco Rubio was one of the lead sponsors of the "Gang of 8" bill that would have granted amnesty to millions of illegal aliens. Rubio says now that that amnesty should be on hold. But did you know that Rubio still supports amnesty for so-called "Dreamers", children of illegal aliens who have come into the country, many of whom are going to college with your tax dollars?

Would you let Marco Rubio balance your checkbook?

At the debate last night Marco Rubio was asked a question about his personal finances and how he always seemed to be out of money. He turned the question around by talking about how poor he was, and the audience clapped like seals. We were treated to the intriguing spectacle of the establishment media praising how he took on the establishment media, which to me looks more than a little suspect.
