Trump, appearing in Al Qaeda video, blamed by Lib Media for causing Muslim ire

When Hillary Clinton said that Donald Trump was being used in ISIS videos, but couldn't produce a video, there was widespread disappointment in the liberal media. But now, apparently, the Somalia branch of Al Qaeda has used Donald Trump in a video where Trump talks about a temporary ban on Muslims for national security reasons. This is being said to incite Muslims to join Al Qaeda.

The video includes footage of Mr. Trump in front of a poster with his campaign slogan, “Make America Great Again.”

“So remember this, so listen, Donald J. Trump is calling for a total and complete shutdown of Muslims entering the United States until our country’s representatives can figure out what the hell is going on,” Mr. Trump said.

1) First of all, the fact that one of many radical Islamic groups uses Trump in a video means nothing. If one radical muslim makes an amateur video with Trump in it, is that to mean that Trump is responsible for all turmoil in the Middle East? No.

2) Second of all, if you're looking for an IMDB of casting in radical Islamic videos, you'd find Bill Clinton and Obama in central casting.

Red State has uncovered some American politicians who are in the most recent ISIS recruitment video, and Clinton knows two of them well.

President Barack Obama, for whom Clinton served as secretary of state for four years is in the video as is her husband, former President Bill Clinton. Vice President Joe Biden, Secretary of State John Kerry, former president George W. Bush, Republican Sen. John McCain and former British Prime Minister Tony Blair also show up in the slickly produced video.

So, by the same standard the lib media is using, is Obama "responsible" for inciting ISIS as well?

3) It's ridiculous to think that reasonable Muslims would be offended by a temporary ban for national security reasons and not be offended by the beheading of innocent Muslims. Or the burning to death of innocent Muslims. Or the bombing of mosques by radical Islamists. Or the execution of women by radical Islamists, and the taking of sex slaves, and on and on and on. What Trump is proposing is justified by national security and is less than 1% as offensive as what ISIS and Al Qaeda do to their fellow Muslims.

4) In fact Gulf States, which do not have bans on Muslims, nonetheless refuse to take Muslim refugees. Does that make them discriminatory as well?

Nothing Trump has said or done would encourage a single Muslim to join ISIS who isn't already inclined towards ISIS for other perverted reasons. It's all about the liberal media trying to take down Donald Trump when he merely putting the national security of the country ahead of political correctness.

The states where Trump is strongest and weakest

The New York Times published the results of a study of 11,000 interviews with voters who call themselves Republicans leaning (but may not all be Republicans--more on that below). They broke it down by congressional district to gauge the level of support for Donald Trump. The purpose of their study seems to be to show that places where people do racist web searches correlated nearly perfectly with places where Trump has his strongest support (really!). But let's ignore this wacko angle (unless we also want to see if Obama is most popular in places where blacks kill blacks) and see if we can get something useful from the data:

Super Conservative National Review calls Marco Rubio extremely conservative

The super duper conservative National Review calls Marco Rubio extremely conservative in two nearly identical articles today... or maybe its NR that's extremely conservative and Marco Rubio who is super conservative, you decide. One article by Jim Geraghty calls Rubio "plenty" conservative, and the other by Deroy Murdock calls him "solid"... involuntarily bringing to mind the unfortunate image of a bowel movement.

If Cruz wins Iowa, will Republicans stop pandering to special interests?

Every candidate who has won Iowa since 1980 has supported the hateful ethanol subsidies and/or mandate, which makes both fuel and food much more expensive for no good reason. But if Ted Cruz, who opposes the ethanol mandate, wins Iowa, which seems increasingly likely, does this mean that we will finally have a leader who has the strength to stop pandering to special interest groups?

With the news that a British Muslim family was denied access to the United States, for a "wholesome family trip to Disneyland", because one of the family members had set up a facebook page proclaiming himself a "Taliban supervisor" and sympathetic to Al Qaeda, it's a good time to rethink the immigration policies of the United States.
