Trump, the king of flip-flopping, accuses Ted Cruz of flip-flopping on ethanol

Donald Trump says that Ted Cruz has flip-flopped on the ethanol mandate, formerly wanting it abolished immediately, and now wanting it abolished after a five year phase out. This is hardly a major change of position, but Trump is right that Cruz changed his position on ethanol in 2014 from totally ending the mandate to a gradual phaseout.

But 2014 was so long ago, that in 2014 Donald Trump was a liberal democrat. If Donald Trump wants to catalog flip flops, he should start with these

1) Trump has said that the economy "does better under the Democrats than Republicans".

2) He has said that Nancy Pelosi "is the best".

3) He has said that he is "totally pro-choice". Now he claims to be pro-life.

4) Trump has said "I'm very liberal when it comes to health care. I believe in universal health care.... We need a single payer plan." Now he claims he will replace Obamacare with something "wonderful", without saying what it is.

5) He called self-deportation of illegal aliens "mean-spirited", but now claims to want to deport them forcibly.

6) In 2012 he called Hillary Clinton "terrific", and now claims to have a different opinion of her.

7) He wrote in his book, The America We Deserve "By imposing a one-time 14.25 percent net-worth tax on the richest individuals and trusts, we can put America on sound financial footing for the next century", and now claims to have a tax plan which will lower taxes.

8) He flipflopped on abortion; on August 3rd he was against funding Planned Parenthood, but on August 11th he wanted to fund the "good works" they do.

9) He flipflopped on importing Syrian refugees. On September 8th he said, about letting them in, "I hate the concept of it but on a humanitarian basis with what's happening you have to.", but on September 9th he changed his mind.

10) Trump (1) quit the Republican party in 1999 saying, "“I just believe the Republicans are just too crazy right" and registered as a Democrat, (2) reregistered as a Republican in 2009, then (3) changed again in 2011 to Independent, then (4) switched yet again to Republican. .

This man changed parties four times in 15 years, and he calls Ted Cruz a flip-flopper. Every time Donald Trump accuses someone else of something, whether it be a flip-flopper, or an abuser of women, more often than not, he is talking about something he did.

So Trump doesn't have the legitimacy to claim that anyone is a flip-flopper. He should instead be trying to convince us, now on his fourth political party switch, why we should believe him.
