Mark Levin says Donald Trump attacks all conservatives

Mark Levin says that Donald Trump's attacks on Ted Cruz are not only an attack on Ted Cruz, but an attack on all conservatives. That's because Levin feels that Trump is attacking Ted Cruz from the left, and making up phony attacks that are not based on policy or substance.

Levin says when Trump calls Cruz "nasty", Trump is just repeating attacks that Mitch McConnell and other fellow RINOS might say, and that Trump is implicitly attacking all conservatives who oppose the GOP establishment.

"All of a sudden on Saturday morning, there was one tweet after another [from Trump] viciously attacking Cruz's character, his honor, his integrity. Maybe he's criminal, owned by the banks... is this Alan Greyson? [a hard left former congressman]... it's Trump! I thought it was over the top. These are the kinds of attacks that are Alinsky-ite, very personal.... He doesn't get along with ruling class Republicans... of couse he's not going to be liked by these people... they hate the base, we're the base... you don't need to attack his honor or smear his reputation, you can leave that to Mitch McConnell and the New York Times. Engage in real and substantive issues that matter to the country. Stop playing Mitch McConnell. Stop playing the New York Times editorial board. You're better than that."

Even Rush Limbaugh has warned Trump that he's making a strategic mistake in the way he's going after Ted Cruz.

If Trump criticized Cruz for past positions he took that were liberal (there are some, though not as many as other candidates), I think everyone would understand. But by attacking Cruz's character in standing up to the GOP establishment, Trump is implicitly attacking the conservative movement.

So, this leads me to ask: if Levin and Rush, undeniably leading voices in the conservative movement not just in the past year, like Donald Trump, but for decades, say that Donald Trump is attacking conservatives, how, then, can we do anything but conclude that Trump is no conservative at all?

And if we conclude Trump is no conservative, how can we justify a vote for him, just on the issue of Supreme Court appointments alone? (You can see Trump's liberal ruminations on Supreme Court appointments here).

In a battle between Donald Trump and a real conservative, I'll choose the conservative, every time.

Scott Walker pushing bill making it easier to fire bad bureaucrats

The New York Times ran an editorial taking Scott Walker to task for trying to dismantle Wisconsin's Civil Service system. The civil service was set up to prevent cronyism and politically motivated hiring and firing in Wisconsin's professional public employee system. The way the Times portrays it, only a monster would try to dismantle such a progressive system. That's because like most NYT articles, you get the liberal argument against it, but never the conservative argument for it. More on that in a moment.

The Plaza Hotel is an extremely fancy hotel near Central Park that Trump coveted.

Trump should get a legal judgment declaring him a natural born citizen

I want to help Donald Trump. Really, I do. I see that he's a leading candidate for the GOP nomination (second only to Cruz in Iowa, according to the latest poll), but I am worried about him. I worry that perhaps he may not be a natural born citizen. After all, as Ted Cruz pointed out in the last debate, Trump's mother was a naturalized citizen from Scotland. That means that Trump is not the child of two natural born American parents.

Out of touch Jeb! says Trump's Muslim ban is out of touch

Isn't it odd when stupid people call other people stupid? I saw a little of that in the Republican debate on Thursday when Jeb! said that Donald Trump's plan to temporarily ban Muslim immigration would offend the very countries we need to cooperate with; Jeb named Indonesia, a very fundamentalist regime that follows Sharia law and has radical Islamic bombers going around killing people. Jeb also pointed out that the Kurds were Muslim too.
