Robot polling being employed to fight robot Rubio

If you're fighting a war with robots, it helps to have other robots to fight that war for you. That's what some campaign that probably starts with a "C" and ends with a "Z" seems to have figured out, using robopolls to smear sweaty robot amnesty boy.

Natalie Barrett, a 53-year-old schoolteacher from Westminster, got a robo-call earlier this month and ended up furious.

Oh no! If I was a leftist government employee and got a robo-call, I'd be furious too!

It started off simple enough, an automated man’s voice asking her age and gender, then quizzing her on which Republican candidates she liked. But when she selected Sen. Marco Rubio as one of her choices, she said, things got nasty.
Nasty! I'll bet the robot caller used words like bimbo and p_ssy, like at a Donald Trump rally!

“That’s when he said, ‘Did you know that Marco Rubio and the Gang of Eight are for amnesty?’” she recalled in a phone interview. “And then the gentleman said he’s for letting 11 million illegal immigrants stay in the U.S. and that he was for letting Syrians cross the borders freely.”

Barrett said she found the call — which continued to say negative things about Rubio before taking shots at Donald Trump for being a supporter of eminent domain — to be “negative” and “unfair,”

The truth is both negative, and unfair.

Cruz denies sending the robocalls, but if he has any brains, he will hire 20 new phone banks to keep sending them.

Natalie Barrett spent five minutes feeling her anger build as she answered automated questions about Marco Rubio the other day.

She felt the anger build... and yet, she had to keep listening!

Nicole Walukewicz, a 58-year-old who has retired to take care of her sick husband and her mom, said the robo-call she got represents everything that’s wrong with politics today.

“The implication was that Rubio wasn’t going to protect the American population from potential terrorists coming into the country,” she said.

I think open borders and mass amnesty pretty much implies that, yes.

I think these calls are great, and should be expanded to ask people about Trump too!

Question 1: How do you feel about Trump's long term support for drilling a hole in a third trimester baby's skull and sucking the brains out?

Question 2: Does Trump's fantasizing about shooting people and bragging about extramarital affairs make you more or less likely to vote for him?
Question 3: Does Ivana Trump's claim that Trump raped her during their marriage make him more appealing to you as a candidate?

And so on.

Welfare rolls in North Carolina drop 55% after drug testing

North Carolina has started mandatory drug testing for a small percentage of its welfare rolls. Within that small percentage who were tested, about 22% tested positive for illegal drugs. But that's not the big story; nearly half refused to show up for drug testing, and as a result lost welfare. The real number is that about 55% either failed drug tests or failed to show up for drug testing and lost welfare.

In a brokered convention, would the establishment get behind Trump or Cruz?

It is starting to look like no one will get a majority outright for the Republican nomination. Trump is leading but polls in the high 20's or low 30's in most states. That probably won't be enough to get a majority of the delegates needed to be nominated.
