Nikki Haley gets in bed with Rubio over amnesty

South Carolina governor Nikki Haley has endorsed Marco Rubio for President.
What makes this curious is that just a few weeks ago, Haley was criticizing Rubio for supporting amnesty for illegal aliens.

"I have disagreements with other presidential candidates," said Haley, later adding, "Marco Rubio believes in amnesty, which I don't. There's lots of things."

Later, in an interview with Fox News, she walked it back.

"I'm against his Gang of Eight bill. He is not for amnesty, but I was against his Gang of Eight bill," she said, referencing the bipartisan group Rubio once belonged to that pushed comprehensive immigration reform legislation.

Moments after that, Haley elaborated.

"It's been a long couple of days," she said. "What I said was that I didn't agree with him -- I meant what I didn't agree with him was on the Gang of Eight bill. I said that he wasn't for amnesty. That's not what I meant. What I meant was that he supported the Gang of Eight bill and I did not."

Haley said Rubio was for amnesty and then he wasn't for amnesty but was for the Gang of Eight bill, which, by the way, was amnesty. She knows quite well what he was advocating and yet she has endorsed him. We are either led to believe, then, that Haley doesn't care about Rubio's support for amnesty for illegal aliens or she actively supports it.

By the way, while she is getting in bed with Rubio they should make space for Senator Tim Scott who has also endorsed Rubio. Scott, who is supposed to be a "tea party conservative", also endorses the amnesty candidate.

Haley's support didn't help Romney win South Carolina in 2012. I get the feeling she is less popular now than she was then. But her endorsement shows where her political principles are.

NYC worried ghetto schools attracting too many white kids

Diversity is ostensibly about having more people of more races. But in reality we know it means only one thing: fewer white people. That's why rather than invoking diversity, liberals are instead sounding the alarm that historically black public schools are attracting white kids:

The real reason Kelly Ayotte is against an Obama Supreme Court pick

No one was more surprised than I when New Hampshire Senator Kelly Ayotte came out and declared that she would not consider a Supreme Court nominee from Obama. Not only that, but she was one of the very first senators to do so, right after Mitch McConnell made his announcement. Ayotte is a squishy "moderate" senator who could have been expected to give Obama whatever he wanted after a token fight. So why did she suddenly develop a backbone, and act as one of the first to speak out in opposition?

The real reason why the Senate shouldn't take up a new Supreme Court appointment

The New York Times wasted no time in showing how quickly justices have been confirmed to the bench, pointing out that from the time of nomination to confirmation usually only a few months have passed. They do that to argue that the Senate should take up whatever nominee Obama puts before them to the Supreme Court.
