Do you really want to see a 75 year old Indiana Jones?

They are making a fifth Indiana Jones movie. Starring Harrison Old.

I mean Harrison Ford. He will be 75 years old when they film it.

Does anyone really want to see a 75 year old Indiana Jones? I thought it was embarrassing in the last movie, The Kingdom of the Crystal Skull, that Indy's waistline was so painfully high like an old man. Harrison Ford looks almost like an animated skeleton. It has become so unrealistic now that it verges on parody.

I know what producers are thinking. They think audiences who saw the earlier films are loyal to Harrison Ford and won't see it if they recast. But they forget that James Bond has been recast continually. So has Doctor Who. Audiences still go to watch them.

This shows the fear of Hollywood in trying anything remotely new, whether a new actor or a new storyline or whatever. I think Disney, which owns Indiana Jones, will just be embarrassing itself by making such a film. Harrison Ford can still act, but not in action roles. A 75 year old man shouldn't be swinging by vines and jumping into moving cars.

Liberals promoting abortion shocked by infanticide

When liberals are absolutists on abortion, as they often are, they are basically promoting the "right" to abortion until the moment of birth, for whatever reason. In light of that culture they promote, they shouldn't be shocked when the logical next step after that is infanticide. After all, if a mother kills her child immediately upon birth, for liberals it's simply an abortion that's a little later than usual, right?

Which are worse, Hard Left goons or Trump goons?

You have to have some sympathy for Trump supporters who were shut down when the hard Left thugs attacked their rally. That's what leftists do, they try to prevent anyone from having their voice heard if they have a different point of view. It happens all the time on college campuses.

If you want to know why Amazon.com is opening bookstores, don't ask the NYT

There are lazy articles and there are laaaaaazy articles. This one is one of the latter kind. New York Times reporter Nick Wingfield, whose main job seems to be rewriting press releases put out by tech giants, was set to the task of finding out why Amazon.com is opening brick and mortar bookstores. A traditional article would investigate and report. But Wingfield was too laaaaazy to write an article, so all he was reprint a chat he had with some chick named Alexandra Alter. Is Alter an independent expert in the field?

One of the favorite words in the liberal lexicon is "light rail". This phrase refers to big, heavy trains that are much heavier than cars or buses but liberals call them "light", as if they were low calorie and healthful, like the phony potato chips they sell that taste like bad chemicals.

NYT readers tells us how the GOP is worse than ISIS on slave rape

The New York Times had an article describing how ISIS sex slaves are forced to stay on birth control so they don't get pregnant, and if they do get pregnant how they are forced to get abortions. I was curious to see what NYT readers would think about these terrible violations of women in the comments section. To no great surprise, they managed to place the blame on Republicans, pro-lifers, America, and Christians.

Ted Cruz should have called Ben Carson a child molester

I felt more than a little queasy seeing Ted Cruz publically apologize to Ben Carson because someone in his campaign retweeted a news story saying Carson was dropping out of the race. There was nothing wrong with repeating a news story, and Cruz looked like he was grovelling when he apologized, but Cruz did it to try to keep good relations with Carson.
