Would you let Milo Yiannopoulos babysit your young boys?

If you had young boys, would you let Breitbart's Milo Yiannopoulos babysit? Milo, who calls himself a gay conservative, was initially invited to speak at CPAC this year, but was uninvited when a video surfaced apparently showing Milo endorsing grown men having sexual relationships with young boys.

You know, people are messy and complex, and actually, in the homosexual world particularly, some of those relationships between younger boys and older men, those kind of coming-of-age relationships, the relationships in which those older men help those young boys to discover who they are, and give them security and safety and provide them with love and a reliable — a sort of a rock for when they can’t talk to their parents.

Pedophilia is not a sexual attraction to someone 13 years old who is sexually mature. Pedophilia is attraction to children who have not reached puberty.

Milo adds that he was molested at age 13, and is grateful for the experience.

I am grateful for Father Michael. I wouldn’t give nearly such good head if it wasn’t for him.

Milo now claims he wasn't talking about sex with young boys when he talked about what really sounded like sex with young boys:

I do not believe sex with 13-year-olds is okay. When I mentioned the number 13, I was talking about the age I lost my own virginity.

I shouldn't have used the word "boy" -- which gay men often do to describe young men of consenting age -- instead of "young man." That was an error.

So, there are three possibilities here:

1) Milo used to support pedophilia, but no longer does.

2) Milo never supported pedophilia, and used "imprecise" language.

3) Milo supported pedophilia... and still does!

Possibility #1: Mile supported pedophilia but no longer does. Well, that's possible. People can change on the issues. Just look at how President Trump has changed on global warming and immigration in two short years! Perhaps Milo's views on pedophilia have evolved. Maybe Milo enjoyed being molested at 13 but as he got older realized that maybe it wasn't something that was right for everyone.

Possibility #2: Milo never supported pedophilia, and used "imprecise" language. I don't know about this. He talks about "relationships" with young boys and older men and seems to be very clearly saying that sex with a 13 year old is not pedophilia. He may not call it that, but sex with a 13 year old, yes, that's pedophilia.

Possibility #3: Maybe Milo meant exactly what he said back then, and maybe he still does, but realizes it's not a position he can credibly take. He does seem to reminisce fondly about being molested as a 13 year old. That's a little odd, isn't it?

Questions for discussion:

1) If you and your spouse wanted to go out to see Brokeback Mountain remastered in IMAX 3-D, would you hire Milo to babysit your young boys?

2) If your answer to #1 is "no", would your answer be different if Milo offered to charge $5 an hour less than the competition?

3) If your answer is still no, what if Milo offered to bring his black boyfriend to co-chaparone?

4) Or if Milo offered to wear a chastity belt and a mouth sealer like the one Hannibal Lecter wore in Silence of the Lambs?

5) Or if he showed you a card signed by all his cub scouts certifying he was the best camping scout leader ever?

Why are feminine men attracted to electric cars?

I was listening to an NPR report on the Chevy Bolt, an electric car which is very reasonably priced (if you're a millionaire), runs as long as a gasoline powered car (if you cut a hole in the gas tank), whose car battery doesn't explode (as long as you don't drive it), and is secure in a collision as a Sherman Tank (made of Jello). But the thing that struck me was how most of the people being interviewed, the people who were interested or knowledgeable about electric cars, were mostly very feminine sounding men.
