Trump's ICE practices "catch and release" with drunk driving "Dreamer"

President Obama was accused of ignoring illegal alien who had not only committed a crime by entering the country illegally, but also committed other crimes up to and including drunk driving.

President Trump, who, two months in, has picked his own appointees to run ICE, is still doing the same thing. Yesterday ICE caught and released a "Dreamer" who was also a drunk driver.

Federal immigration agents in Oregon showed up at the home of a so-called "dreamer" over the weekend and whisked him away without a warrant, the American Civil Liberties Union said.

Francisco J. Rodriguez Dominguez, 25, was released on bond Monday, according to the ACLU and US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

A native of Morelia in the state of Michoacan, Rodriguez has been part of the Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals program since 2013, the ACLU said. President Donald Trump has vowed to preserve protections for DACA recipients, who often are called "dreamers,"...

ICE released a statement on Monday saying Rodriguez was "targeted for arrest based upon his guilty plea in December to a charge of driving under the influence of intoxicants, an offense ICE deems a threat to public safety."

ICE said in the statement that Rodriguez would be "subsequently be released on bond" pending a hearing before a federal immigration judge.

The ACLU issued a statement confirming the release "following a public outcry over his detention."

According to the ACLU, Rodriguez in December entered a diversion program for the DUI charge. He completed nearly all of the requirements of the program and attended all his court dates and required meetings, the ACLU said.

Well, there you go. ICE is still practicing "catch and release" with drunk driving illegal aliens. It's like fly fishing, except with potential killers.

Perhaps when this drunk driving Dreamer kills someone on the road, ICE will finally deport him. Or perhaps not, if there is another "public outcry" that causes ICE to buckle again.

No, girls should NOT be allowed to wear yoga pants on airplanes

A leftist woman who is passionate about denying American citizens their second amendment rights was outraged when she saw United Airlines refuse to let two young girls board a flight wearing skin tight "leggings" or yoga pants until they put on something to cover up. Sites like the Huffington Post milked the outrage, saying that a double standard applied because men were allowed to board wearing shorts, and leftist men immediately tweated that they would be quick to fly United in yoga pants to show their solidarity. (I have decided to stop flying on airplanes effective immediately.)

Would we have fewer drunks if we dissolved Indian reservations?

The New York Times had a long article describing how the town of Whiteclay, Nebraska (population 12) sells millions (yes, millions!) of alcoholic beverages every year because the town is just over the border from the local Indian reservation where alcohol is banned. (Forgive me for calling them American Indians, but as nearly all the people reading this are "Native Americans", it's a much more descriptive and specific term.)

Trump's plan B: work with Dems to "improve" Obamacare

President Trump cut himself a big slice of humble pie as he frantically called reporters from The New York Times and the Washington Post and pleaded with them to spin his lack of success in passing "Trumpcare" as something other than a personal failure for his presidency.

Trump says Obamacare here to stay if "Obamacare-lite" voted down

I've become convinced that President Trump is a political hermaphrodite. The top half is Republican--pushing for lower taxes, border security, and cuts to counterproductive regulations. But if the top half of President Trump is Republican, the bottom half is Hillary Clinton, a side of the President which wants to keep amnesty in place for millions of "Dreamers", wants to spend a trillion dollars on "infrastructure" like Obama, and now is fighting tooth and nail to preserve the worst parts of Obamacare.

Men in Third World calling phone numbers at random in search of love (sex)

Technology has certainly changed the Third World. In countries like India and Morocco where cellphones are widely available for the first time, men are dialing random phone numbers and, when they hear a woman's voice at the other end, they immediately engage in sexy talk to try and get them interested.

Trump Admin. promises to do nothing about the national debt

One of the most popular things to do in Washington D.C. is to come up with a "plan" to eliminate the deficit in ten years. For some reason politicians always come up with a ten year plan. I think they pick ten years out so it is short enough to take somewhat seriously, but long enough for a politician to serve in Washington and then to leave before the ten years are up. In any event, people forget about the ten year plans relatively quickly so in two or four years a "new" 10 year plan to eliminate deficit can be created, even before the old one has "come to fruition".
