Who will be the next White House Press Secretary?

There are repeated rumors that White House Press Secretary Sean Spicer may be replaced. I thought we'd run through some likely candidates and see who is most popular:

1) Kimberly Guilfoyle.

Anyone who has seen Kimberly on TV immediately recognizes her two biggest assets: her law degree and her communication skills. She spent four years as a deputy district attorney, and handled some very challenging cases. She has been with Fox News since 2006, hosting the aptly named show The Lineup. Kimberly has an especially large following among men, who tune in for her legal analysis and enjoy her mini-legal briefs on the issues of the day. She has a special kind of gravitas that makes people pay more attention to what she's saying.

2) Sarah Huckabee Sanders.

Sarah Huckabee Sanders is the daughter of former Arkansas governor Mike Huckabee. She has worked on political campaigns and eventually joined the Trump campaign, and is currently the deputy press secretary. She's gotten rave reviews so far. If you have ever listened to Huckabee Sanders speak, you'll know that when asked a question, she will carefully weigh her response, then deliver an answer that she knows will have the largest impact on the biggest chunk of the American electorate. And once she takes a position, she's impossible to dislodge, she's like the rock of Gibraltar.

3) Sean Spicer. Another option for Trump is simply to keep Spicer on. Spicer, a former spokesman for the RNC, joined the White House when his boss Reince Priebus did. He has helped Trump fight the constant attacks from the media. He is also a naval reservist. Day after day this able sea man gets in the faces of leftist journalists and sticks it to them.

4) An angry, underfed polar bear. Or perhaps Trump might try something different. He has talked about ending press briefings entirely. What better way to do that than to send an angry, underfed polar bear out to brief the press one day?

Oregon emptying jails to terrorize citizens into paying higher taxes

In the old days the Mafia would send enforcers around to local businesses to demand protection money. Now local governments are doing nearly the same thing. They cry that they don't have enough taxpayer money, and when citizens don't agree to a tax increase, they release criminals to terrorize the population until they meet their demands.

The Sinclair Group, which owns 173 television stations, is in the process of acquiring 42 more, and the New York Times doesn't like that. It has run a hit piece claiming Sinclair's local stations produce politically biased news--conservative news, that is--therefore making Sinclair unfit to own more of them.

How much does it cost to sink an aircraft carrier?

How much does it cost to sink an aircraft carrier? I ask because I have just read that the US is launching a new aircraft carrier, the Gerald R. Ford (watch out, red China, Jerry Ford is coming to get you!) for the whopping cost of $13 billion dollars (not counting cost of supporting ships), with two more carriers, the John F. Kennedy and the USS Enterprise, coming in each for nearly that amount.

Is Trump well served by an extremely overweight spokeswoman?

Would it be appropriate for President Trump to have a red, sweaty alcoholic for a press secretary? Or how about an individual who smoked five packs of cigarettes a day and had a voice like Charlie Rangel? No? Then what about a woman who chooses a lifestyle that leaves her extremely overweight?

Many on Medicaid refuse to pay $1 for healthcare

When Indiana expanded Medicaid, it had a small requirement that those on the highest tier of service for Medicaid contribute, even if a little bit, for their own care, an amount on a sliding scale from $1 to $100 a month. But most people in the program refused to pay even that amount, resulting in their being booted to a lower level of benefits:

You all probably remember Trayvon Martin, the celebrated black youth who was shot while trying to pound night watchman George Zimmerman's head into the pavement. To the left, Trayvon is a hero, a young man who was shot simply because he was black. To everyone else, he was a thug, with all the evidence, including the bruises on Zimmerman's head, pointing to the fact that Trayvon was trying to kill him when he got shot.
