Republican Tax Cut vs. Democratic "Tax Cut"

President Obama has vowed to veto an extension of a number of business tax breaks that permit businesses to make deductions for research, development, and investments. In other words, for expenses incurred in the cost of business. Sounds controversial? It really isn't.

But President Obama will veto it because it doesn't include an expansion of the Democrat's favorite tax cut, the "Earned Income Tax Credit".

The reason this is the Democrat's favorite tax cut is because it isn't a tax cut at all. It's a subsidy for people who don't pay any taxes. That's right, a lot of the EITC, which is credited as a "refund", is given to low income people who haven't paid any taxes at all. It's a subsidy, income-redistribution, dressed up as a "tax break".

When we give businesses tax breaks they have more resources to create more jobs, produce more products, and lower prices to make living more afforable. When we subsidize low income people we are simply taking money out of one pocket and putting it into another. And seeing that 50% of taxpayers pay ZERO income tax, do we really need any more of it?

The libtards at VOX called this "working class tax cuts", but many people who get it don't work at all. Thank you, libtards at Vox! (libtards at Vox)
