D.C. bans gay conversion therapy of minors BUT...

The D.C. Council on Tuesday voted to take a final step this year for gay rights, banning conversion therapy that seeks to turn gay teenagers into heterosexuals.

The unanimous council vote puts the District in the rare company of only California and New Jersey to ban the practice. It also raises the possibility that after legal challenges to bans in those states recently failed that similar efforts may proceed elsewhere. “including efforts to change behaviors, gender identity or expression, or to reduce or eliminate sexual or romantic attractions or feelings toward a person of the same sex or gender.”

But it seems that therapy to turn straight people into gays is still A-ok! In fact, in our schools, books, TV, and movies, we see constant advocacy for the gay lifestyle That kind of influencing is perfectly ok, according to the DC Council.

Remember Animal Farm: All the animals are equal, but some are more equal than others.

Obama responds to Ferguson riots in irrelevant way

President Obama, grappling with how to respond to the racial unrest in Ferguson, Mo., and a wave of anger at law enforcement officials across the country, said Monday that he would tighten standards on the provision of military-style equipment to local police departments and provide funds for police officers to wear cameras. All told, the changes were modest, and Mr. Obama himself was circumspect in remarks about Ferguson.
