CLICK HERE for Rand Paul's view on Religious Freedom Act & Iran Deal!!!!

On the internet "click bait" is a reference to a web link that promises to impart a lot of information but actually has very little to offer. Similarly Rand Paul's candidacy seems to have a lot to offer but when you look for specific information, you are liable to be frustrated.

On Tuesday, The Hill reached out to the Paul camp regarding his position on the Indiana law. In declining to comment, a representative of Paul’s PAC said that the senator “is out of pocket with family and not doing any media all week long.”

And sure enough, when The Huffington Post asked for Paul’s reaction to the nuclear deal with Iran on Thursday, Paul spokesperson Sergio Gor replied, “Senator Paul is out of pocket all week with family leading up to April 7th. At this time our office will have no comment to any news.”

Other potential candidates for the Republican presidential nomination issued their own detailed statements Thursday expressing skepticism on the Iran deal.

I don't even understand what the comment "out of pocket" means--he can't reply because he's out of money? Surely in this age of Twitter and Facebook the Senator can put out some kind of brief statement on two issues that have been so important to the nation this week. The debate over the Iran nuclear deal is extremely important to our national security. Can we really believe that a major candidate for President will not issue any comments on major issues of the day for a whole week? I think this must mean either Paul has no strong views on either subject (unlikely), or simply doesn't want to share what his views are.

I don't know about you, but I'm looking for a candidate who explicitly says what he stands for. I wouldn't vote for him, but I like the fact that Jeb Bush is honest about his support for amnesty and lately his support for the original Religious Freedom Act in Indiana. At least I know what he stands for.

It is true that Paul is not officially a declared candidate. But he is going around to forums as if he is a candidate, and it is obvious he will run, and other unofficial candidates have stated their positions. The more he stays "out of pocket" the more he will raise questions about the viability of his own candidacy.

Gay man chosen as Boy Scout Leader

Have you ever wondered why no men are Girl Scout leaders? And why no women are Boy Scout leaders? I think the answer is obvious: most men are attracted to women, and vice versa. Having a man lead a bunch of teenage girls or a woman lead a bunch of teenage boys is a recipe for disaster.

How Mike Pence's surrender will affect people of conscience in Indiana

Can you imagine if a state legislature voted on a bill today which declared "The legislature shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof". They would call it bigoted, anti-homosexual rights bill that would prevent the government from passing laws to protect "discrimination" against gays, bisexuals, and transsexuals. (How do you discriminate against a bisexual--how do you even know if a person is bisexual? And exactly when being bisexual or being a man demanding to be accepted as a woman become a civil rights issue?)

Mike Pence wimps out on Religious Freedom Act

Mike Pence was on This Week With George Stephanopoulos. Stephanopoulos, with a dreamy smile which made him look like he still high on antipsychotic drugs, repeatedly asked Pence if the recently passed Religious Freedom Act would enable a baker or a florist to refuse to participate in a gay wedding, and Pence refused to answer, simply repeating, over and over, that the act promoted religious freedom, and that President Obama had once supported a similar law, without describing what the law does. His dry, abstract, and very evasive answers to a simple question were very unflattering both to him and the conservative movement. It looked as if Pence were afraid of defending the very law he had signed.

Is "Squaw" an offensive word?

The New York Times had a front page article describing how American Indians (sorry, if I called them "Native Americans" I could be naming any of the 90% of Americans like me who were born here), want all towns with the word "Squaw" in them to be renamed. States like Oregon are trying to comply, but Indians are coming up with all sorts of unpronouncable names to replace them:
