Should we have Sanctuary Cities to protect traditional marriage?

We all know that states and municipalities are required to comply with federal laws and court decisions, like homosexual marriage, unless they are not required to, as with marijuana laws and cities which harbor illegal aliens. That's why I think cities who are against imposing gay marriage on their citizenry should become sanctuary cities for traditional marriage.

Here's how it would work. Normally, Christian bakers would be required to make a wedding cake showing two gay men making out, if requested. However, in traditional marriage sanctuary cities, bakers, wedding planners, ministers, and others would be free to decline to participate without fear of persecution. Adoption agencies would not be required to turn children over to homosexual couples. Schools would not be required to teach the joys of homosexuality. Prosecutors would not prosecute them. Police would not arrest them. Courts and government would not fine them.

Instead, they would be welcomed as valuable members of the community. If bakers, wedding planners, and wedding videographers and wedding singers felt more secure, they could come out of the shadows and participate more actively in the community. Ever see people standing at a street corner outside a bakery muttering "Cake? Cake?" in perfect English to people passing by in cars? No longer would they have to bake wedding cakes on the sly. Even Hillary Clinton agrees, in theory, sort of:

On Sept. 6, 2007 at Dartmouth College while debating during her last attempt to become president, then-Sen. Hillary Clinton supported sanctuary cities saying they help ensure the “personal safety and security of all the citizens.”

Of course, she was talking about sanctuary cities for illegal aliens. But just because they speak our language and are citizens of America doesn't mean the same doesn't apply for traditional marriage sanctuary cities. Bakers would not longer be afraid to make cakes. Justices of the Peace could resume conducting weddings. Florists could continue catering to weddings without fear of people making passes at them. And so on and so on.

If a couple came to your door and said they were being hounded by the government for $135,000 for failing to make a gay cake, would you give them sanctuary?

Why Greeks are spitting mad spending other peoples' money

The Greek people are spittin' mad spending other people's money, and if you had spent other people's money as long and as profligately as the Greeks did, you'd be plenty angry too! Consider if you get something for nothing for a long period of time. Oh, technically, the Greek people got loans, but these loans were refinanced, payment periods extended, and new loans came in to cover old indebtnesses; while not technically something for nothing, in a practical sense, Greeks did get something for nothing for many years. The division of labor was as follows: France and especially Germany earned money, and Greece and a few other countries spent it.

Hillary tells weepy gay boy life as a homosexual will be grand!

Hillary Clinton told a weepy gay boy that he would have a great life living as a homosexual. Actually, I'm not quite she she told a weepy gay boy that. Rather, to be more accurate, she told it to a photo of a weeping little boy on a homosexual website.

The fake and real reasons Obamacare premiums are increasing 40% or more

Health insurance companies are requesting rate increases of 40% or more. I'm old enough to remember when businesses didn't have to request the government's permission to increase prices. They just raised prices as they wished, without getting the approval of a political commissar or a five year planning board! However, in those days, we had more of a free market, so if a company raised prices too high, its sales went down as customers went to lower prices competitors. There actually was a natural check on higher prices that didn't involve government intervention. The free market setting prices: that sounds so weird and old fashioned now, doesn't it?

How US society has fundamentally transformed when illegals randomly execute citizens

By now you have all heard the horrific news that a young woman in San Francisco named Kathryn Steinle was executed, seemingly at random for no reason, by an illegal alien named Francisco Sanchez. Sanchez, who had been deported five times and had seven felony convictions, was released by San Francisco police on March 26th after being arrested on a drug charge. The police and ICE are each pointing fingers at each other, but in fact both are complicit in dropping the ball and letting these foreign killers roam freely.

Why can't we talk about the Black role in flash mobs?

There has been a lot of ink spilled about the lack of Blacks in technology. Just 49 of Twitter's 3000 employees are Black. Only 1.5% of Facebook employees are Black. But one area where young Blacks have been overwhelmingly overrepresented in technology is in flash mobs. Flash mobs are people who organize through Facebook or Twitter or other social media for the purposes of meeting at a place and performing an activity. Sometimes the activity is harmless, like performing a dance routine, but often it involved illegality and violence, such as attacking people and looting stores. AT had a classic example only yesterday where a Walmart got ransacked.
