Trump is in big trouble in Iowa|
The two key ingredients to winning a primary are voter enthusiasm, and a getting out the vote operation. In a caucus, however, the organization is even more important. You have to identify people in advance who will agree to go to caucuses, which is much, much more involved and time consuming than simply voting. It can be a process that goes on for some time and only committed caucus goers will go in for that. That's why to be serious you need an organization in every district and committed people you know by name who are going to show up.
Ted Cruz has that in Iowa, but Donald Trump does not.
Mr. Trump’s Iowa director predicted that he would recruit a leader for each of the state’s 1,681 Republican precincts by Thanksgiving. Instead, the first major training session for precinct leaders, heavily promoted in emails and conference calls, drew only about 80 people to West Des Moines last weekend, with about 50 participating online.
For its training session last weekend, the Trump campaign had sought out people who had attended rallies to be caucus leaders. The modest participation for the session in person and online contradicted Mr. Laudner’s promise to have nearly 1,700 caucus leaders in place byThanksgiving, as he told NBC News in October.
Some of Mr. Trump’s Republican rivals have spent months calling and knocking on doors to identify potential supporters to draw them out to caucuses, but Mr. Trump does not appear to have invested in this crucial “voter ID” strategy until recently.
The Trump campaign hopes to attract a surge of independents and disaffected Democrats on caucus night, but the latest data from the Iowa secretary of state show no significant growth in Republican registrations.
Of eight people interviewed at a Trump rally in Waterloo in early October, all gave the Trump campaign their emails. Contacted recently by a reporter, four of the eight said they had not received any follow-up. The others received a mass email asking them to volunteer for Mr. Trump, but they were uninterested....
Cruz and Trump are neck and neck in the polls in Iowa, but because Cruz has the much more developed organization, I think he is much more likely to win Iowa.
However, I do not believe a victory in Iowa will translate into a victory in New Hampshire. The political terrain there is simply too hostile to Cruz. The most important battle, I think, will be fought in South Carolina, shortly after New Hampshire, where Trump has been holding a big lead... until today.
Trump, formerly with poll numbers in the 30's, is down to the 20's in South Carolina. And Ted Cruz, who was formerly in the low teens, has just jumped up to 21% in the latest poll, only seven points behind Donald Trump. It is not hard to imagine that a Ted Cruz victory in Iowa could snowball into a victory in South Carolina well.
If Ted Cruz wins South Carolina, he is on his way to winning the nomination. Keep in mind that if Trump does not get an outright majority of the delegates (the magic 32% of the vote I keep talking about), he is unlikely to be the nominee, even if he has the most delegates. Imagine if Trump has, say 45% of the delegates, and Cruz has 35% and Marco Rubio has 20%. Trump could offer Cruz the Vice Presidency for his support, but a much more likely scenario is that Cruz would offer Rubio the Vice Presidency for his own support.
There are possibly some tough times ahead for Donald Trump. If he loses Iowa, it's trouble, and if he loses South Carolina, it's big, big trouble.

Racist Washington Post assails Trump for having white cabinet members
Racism and sexism are alive and well at the Washington Post. The WaPo showed a photo of Trump's cabinet debating the issue of illegal immigration and was offended by how many white men there were. In an article offensively entitled: "To solve his immigration crisis, Trump turns to a table of white men" the anti-white writer Eugene Scott wrote:
White town split into three parts to give American Indians control
The PBS NewsHour was excited to report about the political situation in San Juan County, Utah. The NewsHour claimed that the County had been gerrymandered so that the American Indians were relegated to only one of three county supervisor seats. And it is true that the American Indians are a majority of the population of the county. One district had 93% American Indians while the other two had 30% each.

Migrant families should be kept together. In the Virgin Islands.
Do you care about migrant families? And by migrant families, I mean undocumented migrants. And by undocumented migrants, I mean illegal aliens. I figure that you must care, because for days now all we have heard from the media, and our elected politicians, are about the plight of illegal aliens whose children are separated from their parents.
Portland helps buy homes for people but only if they're black
Some black people were forced to move out of Portland Oregon because of the construction of a highway which razed homes and gentrification which raised housing prices beyond their means. Only 6% of Portland is black, a statistic that the city finds unacceptable. (What is the right percentage? The masterminds haven't told us.)
Fake news alert: No immigrants were killed in high speed chase with Border Patrol
The media, including, incredibly, Drudge, were reporting that "immigrants" had been killed in a high speed chase with the border patrol. I investigated the news reports, and can assure you that there is no evidence that a single immigrant was harmed. This is a classic example of fake news.
Really? Darlene to replace Roseanne
Roseanne Barr has become untouchable due to the "Valerie Jarrett/Ambien/Planet of the Apes" controversy, irrevocably contaminated by racism. This presents a problem for ABC, which canceled her revived show but wants the show to return in some form because it had high ratings. The apparent solution is to create a new show focused on the character of "Darlene", the daughter character, which would exclude Roseanne.
It's time to stop saying the words "Native Americans"
A man claimed he was hit by a border patrol car on an Indian Reservation. By tremendous coincidence, the man just happened to be filming the border patrol car when it hit him. What are the odds of that?

Skyrocketing crime rate in California called "good progress" after jails emptied
Here's a thought experiment: what happens if you release criminals, a lot of them, from jail?
If you asked a liberal in California, they would tell you that these criminals were unjustly jailed in the first place (think racism on the part of liberal inner city judges, juries, and prosecutors) and that these unjustly imprisoned would return to become productive parts of society.
The National Guard deployment to the border is a sham
Remember when President Trump's supporters were outraged when Trump signed a budget which prevented him from building a border wall? Trump was so stung by the criticism that he decided to show he was tough on border security by sending the National Guard to the border. The only problem is, restrictions on the Guard has made their participation almost useless.
Trump says North Korea is no longer a threat, you can sleep easy!
President Trump says that there is no longer a nuclear threat from North Korea. That's a relief!
Why does Trump suddenly sound like "The Manchurian Candidate"?
President Trump is saying some mighty strange things since the end of his summit with Kim Jong Un, during a period of time when Trump was totally alone with the North Korean dictator for several hours. Could Trump have been swapped for a North Korean lookalike?
Liberals scream as Trump ends sham asylum claims
It always amazes me how when I read articles about people claiming asylum, their stories are almost identical: gangs threatened them in their home country! If they didn't join the gangs, they would be killed! They had no choice but to flee their country! Everyone had nearly identical stories as if they were coached, all repeating the same words they hoped would get them a free ticket into America.

Is it paved in gold? Town makes bike path for $2000 per linear foot
San Rafael, in wealthy Marin County just north of San Francisco, is building a bike path near a new train line. This isn't really worthy of national news until you consider the cost: up to $5.5 million dollars, for a little less than a half mile of bike path. That roughly comes out to $2000 per linear foot.
It works! Illegals agree to be deported to be reunited with bambinos
President Trump has been criticized for separating children of illegal aliens from their parents. They are being separated because more illegals are being criminally prosecuted for crossing the border illegally, and children can't accompany parents to jail. But there have been two subsidiary effects of this policy:
Trump exposes the G7 summit as a total fraud
President Trump didn't play along with the usual narrative at the G7 summit, and the liberal media predictably characterized him as the villain:
Trump called anti-science for rejecting liberal scientists
One of the most effective ways the liberal media has controlled political debate is to define their own facts as either social science or hard science, and then say that anyone who disputes their "facts" are anti-science.
America shamefully ignores racism against African albinos
Liberals are consumed with differences based on skin color. It's puzzling then, why they have shown little interest in the plight of albino Africans, black people with a genetic defect that makes them look white. Albino Africans are subject to terrible discrimination.

Can someone please tell John McCain that he can resign now?
June 1st has come and passed. Everyone can breathe a sign of relief. Under Arizona law, if John McCain had vacated office before June 1st ("vacated" meaning "died"), there would be a special election in November to replace him. But having passed this June deadline, if McCain resigns he can be replaced by an appointee of the governor of Arizona, Doug Ducey, a conservative Republican, and this appointee will serve until 2020.
